Enjoy Shaping Lotion Review with Giveaway Coming in a Few Hours

Earlier today I shared my new hairstyle with you.  Click here if you missed it.  Essentially,I'm going for the smooth and sleek look.  However, I like to do a nice wavy look every now and again.  Only problem is, my hair doesn't have much (if any) wave to it.

When I try mouse or gel it mostly just gets crunchy.  Sometimes I can get it puffy, but not usually wavy.  I went through a serious wavy hair stage and I actually french braided my wet hair every night to get it that way!  Now it's been a long time since I've done that (we all know I don't have time for that with the two little ones running around!)

Well the lovely people over at Enjoy hair care products sent me their shaping lotion to see if I could coax that curl out of my hair with a little product and a diffuser.  I was worried while I was diffusing it because I've never found a product that really worked with my hair in this aspect.  I was wondering what I would say if it didn't work for me because I've never had to write a negative review.  But when I finished drying it with the diffuser and looked in the mirror I was very pleasantly surprised!

I saw nice, soft waves and lots of body!  I was ecstatic!  I finished it off with some Aussie Sprunch Spray (which I'm not reviewing, but is a nice aerosol hair spray to keep a good style just how you want it).  It stayed nice all day!  I will definitely be replacing my Enjoy Shaping Lotion when I run out!

As I mentioned in my last post, I'll be posting an "ultimate hair care package" giveaway tomorrow morning.  Both products I've reviewed will be in the package.  And optional entries will include liking them on facebook and following them on twitter so in case you want to get a head start, here they are:

HBL Shine and Seal Review with Giveaway Coming Tomorrow

I recently got a new hair style.  It's supposed to be very straight and sleek, almost like a long bob.  Here was my inspiration:

I needed a product that would make my hair sleek and give it some shine.  In comes HBL Shine and Seal.
I put a little in my wet hair before blow drying.  Then straightened it and voila.  It looked much sleeker than normal.  See my hair is too thick to pull of an actual bob, so the get the Jennifer Aniston look I was going for the stylist had to thin it down on the bottom which is essentially giving you layers.  However, I don't want these layers to show.  The shine and seal kept everything sleek and in place so I had the put together look I was going for.  There was definitely some added shine too.

Here I am sporting my new HBL hairstyle at my birthday celebration at Wingers (mmmm).

Look how nice and sleek it looks :)

And also important: it didn't make my hair feel greasy. I was still able to go a couple days between washing it (let's be honest here, with 2 kiddos under 2, washing my hair everyday just doesn't happen!)

Well tomorrow I will be posting another hair product review and a giveaway for the "ultimate hair care package" and HBL Shine and Seal will be included in it, so check back tomorrow!

And meanwhile stop by and "like" HBL on facebook if you get a chance.

Or follow them on Twitter.

(They'll both be optional entries for the giveaway.)

Find tutorials on youtube

It's been a little while since I've posted a photography tip!  These posts are a little extensive so I guess that's probably my excuse.

Anyways, today's tip is. . . Find tutorials on youtube!  Every time I see a photo that has some cool effect, I search on youtube for how to do it.  For example, I love how pictures of babies are always really bright, and the baby has really bright skin.  After a bit of searching I came across this tutorial:

Here's one of my before and afters:

Really, you can learn to do anything on youtube!

Upcycled Tray Makeover

I really love this cute tray from Homework

It started as this:

She just painted on faux tiles.  What a great idea!  I have seen some really gorgeous tiles out there that I would love to try and duplicate.  I'm wondering if it would work to create a stamp of sorts out of foam or something similar so you wouldn't have to paint the design on so many times.  I love the look of this though!

EdenFantasys Review

Eden Cafe

Have you checked out EdenFantasys yet? I love EdenFantasys because it’s a secure place to buy things I would rather shop for at home than in the mall! They have cute, classy lingerie, wonderful massage oils, romantic candles, and much much more! What I love about their website is the homepage does not have any graphic images whatsoever. You can feel safe visiting the site and knowing you can easily navigate to what you are shopping for and avoid the things you aren’t. They have a handy navigation menu on the side so you can find what you are looking for.
I have purchased a couple cute lingerie sets from EdenFantasys and I am always very happy with my transactions! The lingerie is very high quality and just as nice looking in person as it is on the web!  I am always pleasantly surprised by how well they fit and flatter me.  The products arrive quickly and are marked discreetly so you can surprise the hubby.  My honest opinion: I would recommend them to anyone.

Trying Out My New Silhouette Markers

I recently replaced my Cricut with a Silhouette (yay) but I with my new arrival and all I haven't had nearly enough time to play with it!  I can say it's much more user friendly than the Cricut.  I haven't tried out the fabric cutting yet, but that's what I'm most excited for, so hopefully I'll get the chance soon.

I did try out the markers a few days ago.  I wanted to make a photo prop for a maternity session I was doing.  I followed Summer's tutorial for product cards (which I will also be making) to make this cute little tag.  Click here to see her tutorial over at Sumo's Sweet Stuff.

Review with My Vinyl Designer

I love vinyl!  It's no mystery why it's so popular right now.  It's fun, easy, affordable, and it looks great!  There's so much you can do with it!  Today I am introducing you to one of the best vinyl shops out there: Say It on the Wall.

You can put it on your door.

You can put it on a plaque, a plate, or a tile.

You can put it on blocks and make cute things like this:

You can put it on a mirror or lighted glass blocks (super cool effect!)

And of course you can put it on the wall!  You can even make your own saying!

Say it on the Wall let me choose something to review.  I chose this cute saying to put on the wall in my bedroom.  "Loved you yesterday, love you still, always have, always will."  Love it!  They sent me the vinyl on transfer paper, all ready to stick on!  Look how beautiful it looks:

I put it on the wall across from my bed so we can admire it all the time :)  And when I'm up feeding my newborn in the middle of the night and would much rather be sleeping, it makes me smile!

I have a vinyl quote by my front door as well, but that was not nearly such a good experience to put up!  I had some vinyl on hand so I decided to cut it myself with my Cricut.  That took forever!  Then putting it up took literally two hours (I didn't use transfer paper)!  When I was done I started wondering how much it would have cost to just buy it and you can image my dismay when I saw that it would have cost just a little more than the vinyl itself cost me at JoAnns!  I told myself I would never do that again!

My quote from Say it on the Wall was very easy to put on.  Just peel, stick, and rub.  It was great!  I couldn't be happier with my experience.  I hope you'll all stop by and take a look!
